Run course: Run is 1k to 5k on a paved path TBA, then return to TBA. There is an aid station with water and electrolyte drink in the Transition and Finish line. Run finishes near stage.
AWARDS: All participants receive a finishers medal. Top 3 finishers in each individual category will receive a medal. The overall male and female will receive a custom award. The overalls are not awarded within the age groups. You have to be present to claim your age group awards at the end of the race.
PACKET PICK-UP: Packet Pick-up will be at different locations to accommodate all participants. All Blue Wave Kids Aquathlon participants will receive a 10% in store shopping discount on packet pick up date and any additional event dates at participating Sports Basement stores.
All Athletes must pick up their own Race Packet and provide ID.
NO REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY
TRANSITION:
Transition opens for set up at 6:45am and will be closed at 7:20am regardless of start time. Transition will be at the Shore Shore parking lot.
BRIGHT COLORED SWIM CAPS ARE REQUIRED.

Hope For Crohn's®: Blue Wave Event Information
EVENT: Race the Hope For Crohn's® Blue Wave Kids Splash & Dash Aquathlon.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Swim Course: The Youth swim will be done in thepool at TBA. It is a 100 meter swim in a loop (50 meters and 50 meters).
There will be lifeguards on duty as well as volunteers to make sure each swimmer completes the course in a safe manner.
Swimmers will be starting the course in waves of no more than 25 at a time at 5 minute intervals. Swimmers will be allowed to pass another swimmer.
The Junior racers will have a option to swim the 1/4 mile with Junior racers only wave. They will start in waves of 20 Junior athletes. Water temperature is in the 's, wetsuit is not required.
